Manga-Heaven is currently seeking a lot of editors to help finish our projects and get us back on track with things. To apply you must...
- Actually have time to edit and be active. We have enough lazy editors right now which is why we're in this predicament.
- Have experience editing in Photoshop enough to know how to level, touch up, remove dirt, save tones, and redraw using clone brush, healing brush among other methods/tools.
- Be willing to learn and adjust to M-H standards. Training will be provided, if needed and if you are willing to give a conscious effort.
- Typesetters: we could, once again, use some help in the typesetting department.
- You will need to pass a test. It will be significantly shorter, but not necessarily easier, than our current one.
If you pass the test, you will get to choose the project you help us with. Keep in mind that since Omamori Himari is currently on waiting status since volume 3 is not out yet, we don't have anything to do on Himari. Crimson Grave v2 just came out, but volume releases are slow so the work won't last long.
D.H.A and Messiah are the two projects we want to get moving. Messiah has finished in Japan and D.H.A. will be finishing in the upcoming month.
If you are interested in helping us out, please respond to this thread. You will receive a quicker reply than via e-mail. Responding here is also preferable to sending me a private message.

Hey there.
Thanks for the response. I've sent a test to the e-mail address you used to register for this site. You have as long as you need to finish, but sooner is usually better as our main editing QC is only available on weekends and it could be a while till he looks at it.
The instructions are pretty straightforward so just do the best that you can with it. Looking forward to seeing your results.

Hey.
I have a good amount of experience in using PS CS3. I interact with it on a weekly basis for various reasons, from personal to academic. I did some manga editing in the past, around an year ago, but kind of got into WoW... and then... well, I don't need to say more.
From the whole week, I will be able to dedicate two whole days to manga editing, and more depending on my academic load. But, I assure a minimum of two days per week on editing.
Any other information, you might want to know.
I live in Karachi, Pakistan and am 19 years old. Currently, I am in the first year of University and am majoring in Philosophy. =/ So, I guess, that is it.
PS: Don't worry, I'm off WoW now... I won't slack.

I don't know how useful I'll actually be, but I'm willing to give the editing test a shot. I really don't have anything going on that can keep me from editing, it's just a matter of experience. But you have to start somewhere, and I can't think of a better place!

I would like to take the typesetter test, please. It says on your front page you need one, so here I am! Uh, and in case it's needed: I've never worked as a typesetter before, but I've used Photoshop (non-professionally) for at least four years and I'm pretty sure I could figure it out. Plus I can use FTP servers and am pretty good with IRC. I also have a lot of free time and enough interest in scanlations overall to not just bail out one day, if that helps.
